School Council

The School Council represents the voice of the pupils at Saint Nicholas. Every class has an elected Council representative who attends the Council meetings. The purpose of these lively meetings, which take place every 2 weeks, is to discuss opinions and ideas on how to further improve life for pupils at St Nicholas and suggest initiatives. The views expressed at the meetings are not only those of the Council members but often reflect the feelings of other pupils in the form they represent. So, in a sense, every pupil is a member of the council.

If the majority of the members agree on a particular issue or suggestion, letters can be written and the appropriate channels followed and there has already been a positive response to many of the School Council’s suggestions in recent years.
