It was the Caterpillar children's turn to be pirates this week, whilst the Butterfly children continued with the nautical theme and have been learning about all things 'under the sea'.

Reception pupils had a wonderful time pond dipping last week during Forest School, and were so pleased to find newts and dragonfly larvae.

The children really enjoyed our boat challenge this week in Reception, linked to the story 'Mr Gumpy'. The children had to build a boat from foil and see how many animals they could fit inside their boat before it sank. The children displayed fantastic counting skills as well as retelling the story and putting the animals in their boat in the correct order.

Amazing work, Reception!

Year 5

As part of their English topic Year 5 have been focusing on the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, and they were so excited to visit Harry Potter Studios last Friday, a highlight on the Year 5 calendar. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was a magical experience to see how the magic from the book was brought to life!
