Teacher of Computer Science – Required September 2024

UPS/MPS, Permanent, Full-Time

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic Teacher of Computer Science to teach from Year 5 to Year 11 from September 2024.  The position sits within the science department and will report to the Head of Science.

The successful applicant will be joining a friendly, hardworking school with a clear commitment to high achievement for all its pupils. They will be a passionate and outstanding Computer Science teacher with energy, commitment and drive. Non-contact time is generous to enable the successful applicant to fulfil this role to the highest standards.

Teachers are paid at a rate equivalent to the National Pay Scale including post threshold payments. There is a generous fee remission for children of members of staff, of up to 50% of the full fees, upon completion of one full year’s service, provided children meet the School’s usual entry requirements. Teaching staff may contribute to the APTIS pension scheme.

Part-Time Pre-School Practitioner (Level 2 or above) –  Required Immediately

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and highly motivated practitioner to join our friendly and welcoming Little Saints team. The successful applicant will help to plan, lead and organise a varied and rich curriculum that delivers the EYFS ensuring all learners are challenged, motivated and engaged. We are seeking a highly professional candidate who can demonstrate excellent levels of communication with parents and colleagues and is committed to the development and care of children.  Please see the job description below for more details.

The pre-school is open term time and offers children full and part-time places, subject to availability. Morning and afternoon sessions are offered separately. The breakfast club from 7:30 am and after-school club until 5.30 pm are both offered on an ad hoc basis.  The pre-school is now also linked to our fabulous nursery and as a result there is the opportunity for additional hours during the school holiday working with pre-school aged children.

We are seeking to appoint a permanent, part-time practitioner, all year round:

  • Working hours are 7.30am – 5.30pm Monday and Tuesday (21 hours week including tapestry allocation) with paid breaks, all year round. This is made up of core hours and wrap around care.  Core hours are 8.30am – 3.30pm plus half hour tapestry allowance (15 hours in total) giving an annual salary of £7,588 which is equivalent to £12.29 ph. Wrap around care is made up of Breakfast club 7.30am – 8.30am and after school club 3.30pm to 5.30pm which make up the additional 6 hours per week and are paid at a separate rate. (currently £14 ph)
  • From September 2024 hours may increase up to 37.5 hours a week during the holidays (8.30-3.30 Monday to Friday) so flexibility will be required. Term time hours will remain at 21 hours Monday and Tuesday only
  • The pre-school is open for 10 hours daily, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. The pre-school manager will be responsible for arranging a staff rota to ensure adequate cover during the setting’s opening hours. The ability to be able to work flexible hours will be advantageous.
  • For Level 3 qualified applicants the salary will be NA20 (currently £7,588 pa pro rata based on 15 hours per week) which equates to an hourly rate of £12.29. For Level 2 qualified applicants the salary will be NA14 which equates to £11.44 per hour. Breakfast club and after school club hours are paid as overtime (currently £13.50 ph).
  • There is a staff fee discount worth up to 50% (after completion of 1 year’s service).
  • Membership of the school’s pension scheme subject to meeting eligibility criteria
  • Occupational Health Scheme including virtual GP service

Nursery Practitioners and Room Leaders Required – immediate start

The Rocking Horse Nursery is offering an exciting opportunity for ambitious, motivated and professional Level 3 qualified practitioners to join our friendly and experienced team. The nursery provides care for children from 3 months of age, 51 weeks of the year.  The setting consists of fully equipped individual rooms for each age range, a large dedicated outside space as well as the use of the beautiful school grounds and access to the petting animals on site.

The roles are permanent, full-time, all year round.  The successful candidates will work  an 8 hour shift between the hours of  7.30am and 6pm , Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.  For fully qualified nursery practitioners, salary would be £25,567 pa, equivalent to £12.29 per hour.  Room leader salary is based on an hourly rate of £12.75.  Other salary levels available based on qualification level.  Please see job description below for full details.

Nursery Housekeeper – immediate start

We are looking for a friendly, organised Housekeeper to help the day to day running of our nursery, providing support and assistance to the nursery staff and ensuring that our lovely premises are presented to a high standard at all times.  The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and complying with Health and Safety, keeping everything in its rightful place, fresh and clean, ready to amplify the children’s learning journey.  The Housekeeper will assist with snack and mealtimes and take pride in ensuring the nursery is a welcoming and organised environment.

The role is permanent, all year round, working hours 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.  Annual salary for the position is £20,812 (STN14 on the payscale) which equates to £11.44 ph.
