EYFS Reception Teacher – full time, required September 2022

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Reception Class Teacher to join our dedicated and committed EYFS team. The successful candidate must be child-centred, enthusiastic and committed, with exacting standards and a passion for teaching.

Teacher of Art & Design – part time 0.6, required April 2022

Estate Worker – 40 hours per week, required as soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint a full-time person to join our Estate Team. The position is for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10.00am-6.00pm.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • a confident, positive and flexible attitude;
  • the ability to follow instructions accurately but make good judgments and lead when required;
  • a keenness to learn and develop own skills, and take on any necessary training where required;
  • excellent interpersonal skills;
  • the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people and to assess and diffuse confrontational situations;
  • the capacity to remain calm and to cope with the unexpected;
  • the ability to undertake the physical demands of the role;
  • an excellent attendance and time keeping record.

Additionally, for times when it will be necessary to drive the school mini buses, a clean driving licence will be essential and a D1 licence desireable.

Learning Support Assistant – 37.5 hours per week term time, required January 2022 or sooner

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistant with an appropriate SEND qualification, to join our learning support team to provide support for individuals and groups of pupils. The position is predominantly to support pupils in the Lower School but a willingness and ability to engage with pupils across the whole school age range will be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be a highly professional individual able to demonstrate excellent levels of communication with all stakeholders and articulate the attributes of the Saint Nicholas School ethos.

Pre-School Practitioner – part time term time, 2.5 days per week, required January 2022

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Pre-School Practitioner to join our wonderful pre-school, Little Saints. The successful candidate must be child-centred, enthusiastic and committed, with exacting standards and a passion for teaching.

Playground & Prep Supervisor/Learning & Classroom Support Assistant – 37 hours  per week term time, to commence as soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint a Playground & Prep Supervisor/Learning & Classroom Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be willing to work across the whole school as required; will be responsible for the supervision of pupils during lunch service and lunch play and on two days during after school prep; will provide learning interventions to pupils as directed by the teachers and SENCO; and classroom support to teachers and other members of staff.

The ideal applicant will be a patient, dedicated and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children, and will possess a confident, positive, flexible ‘can do’ attitude.

An excellent attendance and timekeeping record is essential and an appropriate Level 2 qualification is desireable.
