As Headmaster of Saint Nicholas I am delighted to welcome you to a school that inspires, challenges and supports all pupils to achieve their very best. At the heart of our school are happy, confident children with high aspirations, a strong moral compass and a determination to succeed.
Inspiring active and curious learners, we encourage all our pupils to engage in a broad range of activity and to stretch themselves academically, creatively and physically. Whilst pursuing their studies, we challenge our pupils to further develop their self-knowledge, becoming resilient, confident and compassionate young people.
Saint Nicholas is a broadly non-selective school and yet we consistently deliver high academic results. In 2017 96% of Year 11 pupils achieved at least five or more A*- C (9-4) grades. Overall 85% of all results were A* – C (9-4) with one quarter of all grades A*/A. This success is testament to our small class sizes and dedicated teaching. We are proud of our ability to support and develop the individual, ensuring each child is given every opportunity to achieve their full potential.
Saint Nicholas has an enduring reputation for its excellent pastoral care but also for high standards of behaviour. We are committed to developing courteous and caring pupils with a strong sense of right and wrong and a natural respect for those around them.
If you choose Saint Nicholas for your son or daughter, you will be choosing a school which recognises the importance of developing the whole child whilst aspiring towards the highest standards. I warmly invite you to visit the school and see Saint Nicholas in action.
