Rotary Club Young Chef Finalist

Congratulations to Lyla in Year 11, for winning the Rotary Club Young Chef district semi-final, which was held at Chelmsford College last Saturday. In just two hours, Lyla made a delicious caramelised onion and vegan feta tarte tatin, followed by yellow and black sea bass ravioli, with a roasted vegetable sauce, and a coconut pannacotta with passion fruit and meringue for dessert. In recognition of her win, Lyla received an engraved trophy, a Mary Berry cookery book, a £50 Amazon voucher and an Easter egg, and will now go forward to the district finals, which will take place on Saturday 18th March at Hertfordshire College.
