On Thursday 12th May, the Year 10 and Year 11 GCSE Spanish pupils enjoyed a trip to the British Film
Institute, on London’s Southbank. In the morning, they enjoyed a number of activities that included watching three short films: ‘El Cocodrillo’, ‘Murciégala’ and ‘Uno’, which introduced pupils to new vocabulary and various techniques in film making.
The afternoon’s activities included watching a film called, ‘El Espíritu de la Colmena’ which looks at the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War.
All pupils agreed it was a most worthwhile and enjoyable trip which will be beneficial to their Spanish studies going forwards.
