Greek Day

Year 3 pupils had a really fun filled day last Thursday when they experienced life in ancient Greece. They created clay pots, painted tiles, carved soap, painted frescos and crushed olives to make oil for lamps.

In the afternoon, they rehearsed and performed two classic Greek plays, which the teachers thought were fantastic, and toasted the gods with ‘wine’ in silver goblets. There was also a wonderful dance performed by some of the children.

A special mention must go to the children who served everyone so wonderfully and the soldiers who guarded the city.

Year 3 would like to say a big thank you to the parents for providing such wonderful costumes and to all of the adults that helped to make our day special.
