On Friday 10th September, Year 1 children had a fantastic time at their ‘Toy Day’. They began the day by playing with different old toys, after which they carried out some archaeology, digging to find lots more. They then had to sort the old toys into different materials and order them from oldest to newest. In the afternoon, they took part in a craft session during which they were able to make a selection of old toys such as cup and ball, a cork boat, a spinning top and a fishing game. The children enjoyed the day and loved learning lots of new things about toys from the past.
