The lower school pupils visited St Mary’s Church on Monday 7th October for their annual Harvest Festival celebrations. The theme this year was ‘Harvest Of The Sea’ which gave pupils the opportunity to think about our oceans and the global problem of plastic waste in the sea. Each class made a contribution ranging from video presentations, artwork, paintings, Bible stories and poetry. The guest speaker, Michael Beresford, thoroughly enjoyed participating in the service and was very impressed with the pupils. The church was full of musical celebration, from class songs to congregational hymns, and the lower school choir singing ‘What a Wonderful World’. It was a lovely afternoon filled with celebration, reflection and praise.
