Year 5 pupils have enjoyed investigating their new science topic – space. On Wednesday 27th February, the children dressed in their space themed costumes (which included quite a few aliens), and enjoyed an enrichment day based around the space theme. Activities ranged from creating solar system collages to listening to ‘The Planet Suite’ by Gustav Holst.
On Thursday 28th February, the children enjoyed entering the ‘Pop-Up Planetarium’ brought into school by The Astronomy Roadshow. They discovered many interesting facts whilst studying the planets and looking at the constellations of stars.
An ‘out of this world’ time was had by all!
