Everyone at the school was delighted to hear that two of our pupils have had success in the recent ISA National Art Competition. Amelia from last year’s Year 11 has won the Key Stage 4 film and digital art category for her digital painting, ’Lost’, which she produced on the iPad, and Georgina (who is currently in Year 10) received a Highly Commended Award in the textile category for her shell cushion which was produced firstly by drawing a shell, then making this into a lino cut and printing her design in a repeat pattern onto cotton before making the cushion cover out of the fabric.
Both Georgina and Amelia qualified for this national competition after winning their categories in the Eastern Region competitions.
