Harvest Festival Celebration

The lower school celebrated their annual Harvest Festival on Tuesday at St Mary’s Church, Churchgate Street. All pupils from EYFS to Year 5 participated in the service which included singing, sharing artwork, reading senses poems, telling stories, leading prayers and also performing musical pieces on the recorders and violins.  It was truly a celebration of the harvest with the Reverend David Welch welcoming pupils and parents to participate in the service.  The church was packed with parents enjoying the sharing service led by the children.  The pupils performed with confidence and enthusiasm and the service concluded with a rousing performance of the school hymn, Jerusalem.  The Headmaster thanked parents, pupils, staff, the Reverend David Welch and his staff at St Mary’s Church for such a wonderful afternoon of praise and celebration.
