Following their sterling work in organising the school’s coffee morning last term, raising a considerable amount of money for Macmillan, Year 10 pupils, Grace and Evie, were invited by Robert Halfon MP to spend a morning at the Houses of Parliament.
On the day the girls were given a fascinating tour by Mr Halfon’s apprentice, Owen. He was incredibly knowledgeable, answering all of the girls’ questions, and both girls very much enjoyed viewing the beautiful buildings and getting a behind the scenes peek at what goes on in the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
Overall, it was a fabulous opportunity and one which the girls are incredibly grateful to have had.
