Rotary Youth Speaks

Year 8 pupils, Casey, Poppy and Freya took part in the Bishop’s Stortford Rotary Youth Speaks competition last Monday evening.

The competition was tough and although Poppy, as the main speaker, spoke faultlessly and was well supported by both Casey and Freya in their roles as Chairperson and Vote of Thanks, the winning team from Birchwood proved just that little bit too good.

All the girls agreed that the experience was well worth the extra hours of practising and hope to take part in the competition again next year.

A special thanks from Mrs Whyman to the girls’ parents for accommodating the extra hours at school and for attending the speech evening at Bishop Stortford College.

Well done girls!
