Last week Year 8 pupils were treated to a live performance of short stories, courtesy of Rupert from Redheart Theatre, to help with their study of the gothic genre.
This was an entertaining one man show, superbly supported by excellent sound effects and lighting, all operated by Rupert himself as he told the stories.
The pupils were impressed by Rupert’s word-perfect recitals and in particular, his ability to remember all of his words.
Pippa from Class 8W said, “I thought it was really interesting how he did all the sound effects himself. I didn’t find it scary, because I already knew the stories but he really brought them to life and we felt like we were back in Victorian times.”
