A subject that every child can fully participate in regardless of their age or ability. The pupils have a wide musical education through singing, composing, performing and listening.
In the Lower School, pupils participate in the Christmas Nativity, Spring Musical, Church Services, Prize Day and many other musical events. Classes also participate in London Symphony Orchestra Discovery Concerts at the Barbican.
Year 4 pupils have the opportunity to play the violin and Year 2 and 3 pupils learn the recorder within their class music lessons. Peripatetic music teachers offer private individual lessons teaching piano, brass, strings, woodwind, singing, percussion and guitar. Extra curriculum classes are provided with a Lower School Choir, String Ensemble and Composing on the iPad using Garage Band.
